MA Leading Tourism and Hospitality: Event Management

Course Description

Events play a significant role in human interaction and contribute in their own creative way to a region’s economic activity, culture, and sports. They provide entertainment and experiences, while also serving strategic goals at a business level. This postgraduate study programme specialises in the organisation and management of Events and aims to transform students into professional project managers of large-scale events as well as small or niche events. From planning to communication and tackling unforeseen situations, students develop specialised skills in coordinating and organising an event down to every detail.

What You Will Learn

In the Event Management course, students will be able to design, organise, and implement events of all kinds and scales, from conferences and sport events to fashion shows, concerts, and exhibitions, utilising modern risk management and human resource management practices at an international level.

The programme fosters a comprehensive understanding of the event organisation process, cultivating communication and marketing skills, teamwork, and coordination while stimulating creativity through experiential workshops and case studies, encouraging innovation.
