Day 1:

  • Participants are separated according to their background (PET or MR).
  • For PET participants:
  • Basic chemistry, physics/acquisition, reconstruction, and analysis of PET
  • For MR participants:
  • Basic physics, sequences, reconstruction, and analysis of MR

Days 2 and 3:

  • PET-MR:
  • Virtual visits to PET, MR, and PET-MR scanners
  • History, current state-of-the-art instrumentation

Entry Requirements:


EU Home Students:

  • Undergraduate degree: 2:1 or above in a relevant subject, such as Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Masters degree: Merit or above in a relevant subject, such as Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or Computational Science.

International Overseas Students (outside the EU):

  • Undergraduate degree: First class or equivalent in a relevant subject, such as Physics, Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Masters degree: Distinction or equivalent in a relevant subject, such as Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or Computational Science.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong mathematical and programming skills.
  • Experience with medical imaging or data analysis (preferred).

Language Proficiency Requirements:

For non-native English speakers, the following English language proficiency scores are required:

  • IELTS: 7.0 overall with no less than 6.5 in any component.
  • TOEFL: 100 overall with no less than 25 in each component.
