Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:


EU Home Students:

  • A Level: AAB, including a relevant science subject (e.g., Biology, Chemistry).
  • International Baccalaureate (IB): 34 points overall, including at least 5 at Higher Level in relevant subjects (e.g., Biology, Chemistry).
  • BTEC Extended Diploma: DDD in a relevant science subject (e.g., Applied Science).
  • Access to HE Diploma: 45 credits overall, including 33 in relevant science subjects (e.g., Science).

International Overseas Students:

  • Qualifications equivalent to UK A Levels, such as International Baccalaureate (IB), Advanced Placement (AP), or GCE A Levels from an approved examination board.
  • Minimum English language requirements: IELTS (Academic): 6.5 overall with no score below 6.0, TOEFL (IBT): 88 overall with a minimum 20 on the writing and speaking sections, PTE Academic: 65 overall, Cambridge English Advanced (CAE): Grade C, Cambridge English Proficiency (CPE): Grade C.

Language Proficiency Requirements:

All students, regardless of their nationality or academic qualifications, must meet the minimum English language requirements stated above for entry to King's College London.
