Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:


EU Home Students:

  • GCSEs: 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C or equivalent, including English and Mathematics.
  • A Levels: Two A levels at grades AAB, with one from the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geography, Psychology, Sociology, or a related subject.
  • BTEC Diploma: A Level 3 BTEC Diploma in a relevant subject with a minimum distinction profile.
  • Access to HE Diploma: Access to HE Diploma with a minimum of 30 credits at level 3.

International Overseas Students (Outside the EU):

  • GCSEs: 5 GCSEs at grades A*-C or equivalent, including English and Mathematics.
  • A Levels: Two A levels at grades AAB, with one from the following subjects: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Geography, Psychology, Sociology, or a related subject.
  • International Baccalaureate: Diploma with a minimum of 32 points overall, including 6 points in Higher Level subjects.
  • Other Qualifications: Equivalent qualifications from your country of origin may be considered.
  • Applicants with relevant work experience or qualifications may also be considered.
  • The University may also consider other factors, such as your personal statement, references, and performance at interview.
  • International students must demonstrate English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.5 or above.

Language Proficiency Requirements:

  • IELTS: 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 6.0 in each band.
  • TOEFL: 90 overall, with a minimum of 20 in each section.
  • Cambridge English Advanced: 176 overall, with a minimum of 169 in each skill.
  • Pearson PTE Academic: 61 overall, with a minimum of 59 in each communicative skill.

Exemptions:

  • Native English speakers.
  • Students who have successfully completed a degree-level qualification taught and assessed in English.
