AHEAD

is a stimulating, part-time evening program designed to provide access to a wide range of degrees at Abertay University, regardless of prior qualifications. Objectives:

• Equip students with the core academic and study skills needed for successful university study.
• Provide a supportive environment for students to develop and improve their learning abilities.
• Offer a pathway to a range of undergraduate degrees at Abertay University upon successful completion.

Program Description:

• Part-time, two evenings per week for two semesters (September to May)
• Free tuition for eligible applicants
• No formal academic entry requirements, but applicants must have been out of full-time education for at least three years
• Focuses on strengthening key transferable skills like communication, IT, literacy, and numeracy
• Successful completion guarantees a place on a range of Abertay degrees (within two years of program completion)
It is completed in the first semester.
