Entry Requirements
Admission to Massey
All students must meet university entrance requirements to be admitted to the University.
Specific Requirements

Application Process
- Initial Application: Provide a CV, complete a trial flight, and disclose any past personal or professional circumstances that might affect your eligibility for a professional pilot's license.
- Stage 1: Pass an online 'ADAPT' test.
- Before Stage 2: Take at least one trial flight, pre-book medical appointments, and obtain a NZCAA Class One Medical Certificate if possible.
- Stage 2: Participate in a panel interview, pass pilot aptitude assessments, complete writing tasks, and declare 'Fit and Proper Person' status.
Structure of the Bachelor of Aviation
- All Bachelor of Aviation students undertake a full-time qualification.
- In the first year, students take twelve 15-credit courses, totaling 180 credits.
- All courses in Year One and Year Two are compulsory.
