Program Overview

Te Pōkaitahi Reo (Reo Rua) (Kaupae 1) is a beginner-level program designed for those with no prior knowledge of te reo Māori. Offered by Te Pūkenga, it provides a foundation in pronunciation, greetings, numbers, and basic communication skills. The program is available in both full-time and part-time formats and consists of four compulsory courses. Upon completion, students can progress to Level 2 and pursue careers that utilize te reo Māori in various settings.
