Program Overview


The Aotearoa New Zealand A Training Scheme is a one-day-a-week program for learners with intellectual disabilities and learning difficulties. It provides a nurturing environment focused on learning about New Zealand's history and culture. The program is free of charge and open to applicants aged 16 or older who meet the entry requirements. Graduates receive a Te Pūkenga qualification.

The Aotearoa New Zealand A Training Scheme

  • Age: At least 16 years old.

  • English language: IELTS overall Academic score of 5 (with no band less than 5) issued within the last 2 years, or equivalent.
  • Fees: Zero fees (A Compulsory Student Services Levy of $2 per credit applies).

English Language Requirements:
