Program Overview

This 25-week program equips learners with the skills and knowledge to work as Advanced Deckhands on fishing vessels. It covers safe maritime practices, operational practices, vessel navigation, stability, and rope handling. Graduates are eligible for an Advanced Deckhand – Fishing (ADH-F) license from Maritime New Zealand and a certificate under STCW-F.
