Course objectives:
- Gain fundamental skills in screen printing through hands-on exploration of processes and equipment.
- Design, prepare, and use stencils and screens for textile printing projects.
- Develop hand-inking and color-mixing expertise for impactful textile designs on a range of fabrics and garments.
- Experiment and refine textile printing techniques for improved results.

The course is structured as follows:
Module 1:
Introduction
- Introduction and overview of textile print methods and techniques
Module 2: Design Preparation
- Generating and adapting designs suitable for textile printing
- Utilizing photographic emulsions to prepare and coat screen stencils
Module 3 : Screen Printing Techniques
- Producing and incorporating freehand and hand-cut stencils for textile prints
- Mastering hand inking techniques with progression towards advanced methods during coursework
- Production and application of textile print designs on various fabric types and garments
- Color mixing for print designs
- Experimentation and exploration of different printing approaches and techniques
Assessment:
