Program Overview

The New Zealand Certificate in Engineering Fabrication (Trade) provides comprehensive training for apprentices in the mechanical engineering industry. It offers strands in Heavy Fabrication and Light Fabrication, developing skills in fabrication techniques, engineering principles, and welding processes. Graduates are prepared for careers as welders, fabricators, and other roles in the engineering fabrication industry. The program typically takes two years to complete and requires employment in the industry and a three-way training agreement.
