You will learn how to use a variety of different video production techniques, including:

  • Developing a practical understanding of digital video composition and framing
  • Generating creative ideas through research, evaluation and application of relevant video/film history and theory
  • Developing a practical understanding of video editing and post-production.
  • For example, image stabilisation, sub-titles and split screens
  • Learning about the tools and equipment used in video production
  • Understanding composition and lighting techniques
  • Mastering manual camera modes such as shutter speed, aperture, and ISO, and learning to record high-quality audio for video

You will also be introduced to some basic professional practices, including:

  • Customer service skills
  • Pricing
  • Copyright and media release rights
  • Learning how to research trends and influencers that may guide your artistic choices
  • Learning about video hosting sites
  • Screenwriting, special effects, and transitions
