Program Overview

The Maritime Operations - Skipper Coastal Offshore program at NMIT equips individuals with the skills and knowledge to skipper vessels under 24 meters in coastal and offshore waters. It includes online/distance learning and a 15-week block course, covering essential topics such as ship operations, safety, navigation, and radio communication. Upon completion, graduates are eligible for the Maritime New Zealand licence: Skipper Coastal Offshore, opening doors to exciting careers in the maritime industry.
