Program Overview

This Maritime Operations program equips students with the skills to command and maintain the safety of fishing vessels under 45 meters or non-fishing vessels up to 500t within coastal and offshore limits. Graduates can obtain their Maritime New Zealand license: STCW Master 500t Near Coastal. The program combines online learning with a 7-week block course, covering topics like maritime legislation, navigation, and vessel management. Graduates are qualified to work as masters of fishing vessels or non-fishing vessels up to 500t.
