Entry Requirements:


Domestic Students (New Zealand Citizens and Residents):

  • National Certificate in Educational Achievement (NCEA) Level 2 with 60 credits, including: Literacy - 14 credits; Numeracy - 10 credits; Essential skills - 8 credits; 20 credits at Level 3 or above (excluding Level 1 credits, literacy, numeracy, career pathways and sector specific credits); and a minimum of 10 credits from each learning areas: English, Science, Technology, Social studies, Mathematics, or the Arts
  • Mature applicants with significant relevant work experience may also be considered, even if they don't meet the standard entry criteria.

International Students (Overseas Students):

  • Completion of a recognized secondary qualification equivalent to the New Zealand NCEA Level 2
  • English language proficiency: IELTS of 6.0 (with no individual band score lower than 5.5), TOEFL IBT 68 (minimum 16 listening, 17 reading, 19 writing), or Cambridge English B2 First 51 overall, or equivalent
