Admission Requirements
Entry Requirements:
First Year Pathway in Accounting and Finance
- A-levels: BBC or equivalent, including Mathematics (or Statistics) and at least one other subject from the following: business studies, economics, government and politics, history, law, psychology, sociology, information and communication technology (ICT), applied ICT, mathematics, further mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, geography, geology, design and technology, art and design, music, and performing arts.
- BTEC Extended Diploma: DMM in a relevant subject area, including Mathematics or Statistics at level 3.
- International Baccalaureate Diploma: 27 points overall, including 6 points in Mathematics or Statistics and 6 points in a relevant subject area.
- Other qualifications: Applicants with other qualifications, such as an Access to Higher Education Diploma or a Foundation Degree, may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- English Language requirements: IELTS 5.5 with a minimum of 5.5 in each component, or equivalent.
Language Proficiency Requirements:
For all international students, proof of English language proficiency is required. The University of Northampton International College accepts a variety of English language tests, including:
- IELTS: 5.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each component
- TOEFL iBT: 60 overall with a minimum of 20 in each component
- PTE Academic: 50 overall with a minimum of 50 in each component
- Cambridge English Advanced (CAE): Grade C
- Cambridge English First (FCE): Grade B
- Trinity ISE II: Pass at Level 3
- Duolingo English Test: 85 overall
