The Master of Landscape Architecture offers three pathways for students, each with a focus on hands-on experience:
- Independent research project: Develop and pursue your own research proposal in an area of passion.
- Collaborative research project: Work with a Unitec faculty member on a joint research project.
- Industry-based research project: Partner with a leading Auckland landscape practice on a research project. The program features:
- 24-hour access to workspaces for full-time students in the refurbished studio.
- Access to high-quality digital design tools.
- Flexible study options: Part-time study for working professionals.
- Practical project-based learning: The degree culminates in a "by project" thesis based on your chosen area of expertise.
- No formal coursework: Focuses on developing your research project.
- Collaborative approach: Shared seminars and workshops with Master of Architecture students foster interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation. Instead, the program revolves around your individual research project.
