Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:


General Studies (Self-Designed) at Trine University


For all students:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
  • Completion of 16 college-preparatory units, including:
  • 4 units of English
  • 3 units of mathematics (including Algebra I and Geometry)
  • 3 units of social studies
  • 3 units of science (at least one lab course)
  • 3 units of electives

Additionally, international students (outside the EU)

must:

  • Demonstrate English language proficiency through one of the following:
  • TOEFL score of 80 or higher
  • IELTS score of 6.5 or higher
  • Completion of an English as a Second Language (ESL) program
  • Submit official transcripts from all previously attended institutions

Language Proficiency Requirements:

  • For all students:
  • English language proficiency is required for all students, regardless of their nationality.
  • Students whose native language is not English must demonstrate proficiency through one of the measures listed above.
  • For international students (outside the EU):
  • The minimum TOEFL score required is 80, with a minimum score of 20 in each section.
  • The minimum IELTS score required is 6.5, with a minimum score of 6.0 in each section.
