  • CHCCOM005 Communicate and work in health or community services: This unit covers the essential communication skills needed in the community services sector, including active listening, empathy, effective communication strategies, interpersonal and teamwork skills, conflict resolution, cultural awareness.
  • CHCDIV001 Work with diverse people: Students will learn how to respect and value diversity and inclusion, understand different cultures and backgrounds, and work effectively with people from a wide range of backgrounds.
  • HLTWHS002 Follow safe work practices for direct client care: This covers health and safety in the community services environment, identifying potential risks and hazards in a direct client care context, developing safe work practices, implementing safety procedures, managing incidents.
  • HLTWHS006 Manage personal stressors in the work environment: Explores strategies for managing work-related stress in community services.
