Program Overview
Master of Business Administration/Master of Science in Industrial Engineering Dual Degree Program
The Tagliatela College of Engineering at the University of New Haven offers a dual degree program that allows students to earn both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering (M.S.I.E.). This program is designed to provide students with a broad expertise in both business administration and industrial engineering.
Program Overview
The dual degree program requires 71.5 credits of coursework, with the potential to waive up to 10.5 credits. The program draws from 35.5 foundational credits in business areas such as management, finance, and accounting, as well as 36 credits in industrial engineering topics such as operations research, quality analysis, and system simulation.
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the program, students must have an undergraduate engineering or technical degree from an ABET-accredited program.
Program Structure
Students complete separate MBA and industrial engineering research projects, which are the culmination of the learning that takes place during the coursework. These projects are chosen with the help of program advisors, and many past research projects have been based on local industry needs.
