Overview
The Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management program at the University of New Haven prepares students to become world-class experts in hospitality and tourism management. The program combines big-picture business knowledge with industry-specific skills, including the art of wine appreciation.
Concentrations
Students can choose from three concentrations:
- General Concentration
- Hotel and Resort Management
- Event and Tourism Management
Coursework
The program includes coursework in:
- Front-office skills, including sales, marketing, accounting, purchasing, housekeeping, and maintenance
- Culinary arts, guest services, and event planning
- Field trips to conventions and trade shows
- Hands-on experience through an internship
- Study abroad opportunities
- Working directly with faculty and staff on hospitality-related events and projects
