Online Degree Completion – Paramedicine

The University of New Haven offers a degree completion program specifically designed for paramedics certified through the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. This program enables candidates to earn their bachelor's degree while applying 56 credits of advanced standing from their NREMT certification.

• Offers up to 62 college credits for NREMT certification towards a bachelor's degree in Paramedicine
• 1 of 4 programs in the U.S.

Admission Requirements

• New students must already hold a certificate from the National Registry as a Paramedic to be accepted.
• The online degree completion program does not prepare students for licensure as a paramedic.

Program Structure

• Students must complete the remaining coursework required for earning a bachelor's degree at the University.
• The degree completion program can typically be completed in two years through full-time study or four years as a part-time student.
• Upon completion of this program, students are eligible for an undergraduate certificate in Emergency Medical Services Administration.

• Students complete a non-clinical research-based internship using an EMS medical evidence-based model.
