The Level 1 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery is a one-year full-time course designed to provide students with the foundation of skills and knowledge for future work within the construction sector. Academic Requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs at grade 3 or above, including Maths or English (Language or Literature).
  • At least a grade 1 in the other subject if not achieved in either Maths or English.

English and Maths:

  • If you do not have a grade 4/C or above in English and Maths and you are under 19, you will be required to study these subjects alongside your vocational subject.
  • Applicants over 19 are not required to complete Maths and English.
