Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:


(EU home students and international overseas students outside the EU)

To qualify for the New Zealand Certificate in Security (Advanced) (Level 4), you must meet the following entry requirements:


Academic Requirements:

  • National Certificate in Security (Level 3) or equivalent qualification, or
  • Relevant industry experience that demonstrates the necessary knowledge and skills to succeed in the program.

Additional Requirements:

  • Current First Aid certificate.
  • Current Criminal Record Check.
  • Physical and medical fitness to undertake the program's requirements, including practical training and assessments.

International Students:

In addition to the above requirements, international students must also demonstrate English language proficiency equivalent to:

  • IELTS 6.0 (with no band score lower than 5.5)
  • TOEFL iBT 79
  • PTE Academic 58
  • Cambridge English Advanced (CAE) 169
  • Other equivalent English language qualifications.

Language Proficiency Requirements:
