Degree Overview:
The MSc One Health program at the University of the West of Scotland is a unique degree focusing on the internationally recognized emerging health theme that examines the connectivity between human and animal health and the environment. It addresses the increasing zoonotic disease transmission and environmental pressures impacting both human and animal health. The program emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to global health management and policy. This program is suitable for students from diverse backgrounds, including biomedical and animal science, environmental science, nursing, medicine, pharmacy, allied health professionals, zoology, veterinary science, public health, infection and disease control, and individuals with relevant experience in health management, education, and policy. Applicants with an ordinary degree and relevant work experience (3 years) will be considered on an individual basis. The program is designed to help directly address a number of UN Sustainable Development Goals, including Good Health and Wellbeing, Quality Education, Gender Equality, Decent Work and Economic Growth, and Life on Land.
