Program Overview

The PGDE (Primary) program at the University of the West of Scotland is a 9-month, full-time program that prepares individuals to become primary school teachers in Scotland. The program emphasizes practical experience through school placements, interactive lectures, and workshops. Graduates are eligible for provisional registration with the GTCS and qualify for the Teacher Induction Scheme.
