Biomimicry (Graduate Certificate)
The graduate certificate in biomimicry, the practice of emulating nature's strategies for human designs, is offered in conjunction with The Biomimicry Center in cooperation with Biomimicry 3.8, the internationally recognized leader in the field.
Program Description
The program is designed to enable students to delve into the core fundamentals of biomimicry, such as Biomimicry Thinking and Life's Principles, with the intention to apply the knowledge and tools to their specific interests or discipline. It is best suited for individuals with an established career who wish to integrate biomimicry into their profession. Participants have the opportunity to explore the application of these core fundamentals in their discipline, field or area of interest field during the biomimicry Virtual Design Lab as their culminating project.

Stackable Certificates
Students can complete two graduate certificate programs and combine them into a Master of Advanced Study degree, giving ultimate flexibility to build their own master’s degree.

Admission Requirements
- General university admission requirements: All students are required to meet general university admission requirements.
- Applicants must have earned a bachelor's or master's degree from a regionally accredited institution.
- Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A") in the last 60 hours of their first bachelor's degree program or a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A") in an applicable master's degree program
- Applicants must submit the following:
- graduate admission application and application fee
- official transcripts
- a completed and uploaded questionnaire
- curriculum vitae or resume
- three letters of recommendation
- proof of English proficiency

The biomimicry program offers a distinct global network of participants (approximately 30% are international students). In addition to multiple collaboration opportunities across the program with a diverse set of peers, students can custom design one or more of their practicum courses to include study abroad.
