Description:

This program merges two distinct disciplines: manufacturing processes (altering material shape or properties) and the processes of manufacturing (systems and management). Students can specialize in either area by pursuing deeper expertise. The curriculum offers a core of advanced manufacturing fundamentals, an introduction to systems engineering, courses building upon unit faculty expertise like automation, additive and subtractive manufacturing, microelectronics manufacturing, and more. The culminating experience can be chosen from a thesis, applied project or portfolio option.

Entry Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a minimum of a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering, physical sciences, mathematics, or similar from a regionally accredited U.S. institution, or the equivalent of a U.S. bachelor's degree from an international institution that is officially recognized by that institution's country.
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A") in the last 60 hours of their first bachelor's degree program or a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A") in an applicable master's degree program.
  • All applicants must submit:
  • Graduate Admission Application and application fee
  • Official transcripts
  • Personal statement
  • Professional resume
  • Proof of English proficiency (if applicable)
  • Applicants whose native language is not English must provide proof of English proficiency regardless of their current residency.
  • Applicants who do not meet the minimum GPA requirements may still be considered.
