  • Required Courses (9 credit hours):
    • CRJ 512 Seminar in Policing (3)
    • CRJ 516 Seminar in Criminal Justice Organization and Management (3) or CRJ 574 Executive Leadership Principles in Public Safety (3)
    • CRJ 527 Police Accountability (3)
  • Restricted Electives (6 credit hours):
    • Students should see the academic unit for the approved restricted elective course list. Restricted electives may be substituted with approval of the academic unit.
  • Culminating Experience: None required

Admission Requirements

  • General university admission requirements: All students are required to meet general university admission requirements.
  • Applicants must fulfill the requirements of both the Graduate College and the Watts College of Public Service and Community Solutions.
  • Eligibility: Applicants are eligible to apply if they have earned a bachelor's or master's degree in any field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • GPA Requirement: A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A") in the last 60 hours of their first bachelor's degree program, or in an applicable master's degree program.

    • Graduate admission application and application fee
    • Official transcripts of undergraduate and, if applicable, graduate coursework
    • A written statement of career and educational goals
    • Two letters of recommendation
