International Health for Healthcare Professionals (Graduate Certificate)

Program Description

The international health for healthcare professionals graduate certificate program prepares health care personnel to meet the global health challenges of the future. Students receive comprehensive education in the promotion of holistic, culturally responsive, evidence-based care within and outside the U.S.

Admission Requirements

  • General university admission requirements:
    • U.S. applicants
    • International applicants
    • English proficiency
  • Applicants must fulfill the requirements of both the Graduate College and the Edson College of Nursing and Health Innovation.
  • Applicants are eligible to apply to the program if they are undergraduate-prepared nurse or health-related professional (e.g., social worker, physician, psychologist, dentist) with a baccalaureate or graduate degree from a nationally or internationally recognized and regionally accredited academic institution, or equivalent.
  • Applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A") in the last 60 hours of their first bachelor's degree program or a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A") in an applicable master's degree program.
  • All applicants must submit:
    1. graduate admission application and application fee
    2. official transcripts
    3. professional license in the state where the individual capstone project will be conducted, if required (e.g., RN, NP, MSW, PA or MD)
    4. resume or curriculum vitae
    5. email addresses of three professional references (not friends or relatives), who will be contacted to complete online recommendations
    6. fingerprint clearance or proof of application for U.S. citizens and applicants with permanent U.S. resident status
    7. photocopy of current, valid passport
    8. proof of English proficiency
