Program Overview

The Bachelor of Arts in Business with a concentration in Tourism is an innovative transdisciplinary program that prepares students for positions in a variety of professions in which business and tourism play important roles.


Program Description

Students complete rigorous courses within the tourism concentration, in addition to the skill and core courses required of all W. P. Carey School of Business majors. Developing tourism and recreation opportunities requires an understanding of effective marketing techniques and the ability to interact with many different types of businesses that support those efforts.

Concurrent Program Options

Students pursuing concurrent degrees (also known as a “double major”) earn two distinct degrees and receive two diplomas. Working with their academic advisors, students can create their own concurrent degree combination. Some combinations are not possible due to high levels of overlap in curriculum.


Accelerated Program Options

This program allows students to obtain both a bachelor's and a master's degree in as little as five years. Accelerated bachelor's plus master's degree programs are designed for high-achieving students who want the opportunity to share undergraduate coursework with graduate coursework to accelerate completion of their master's degree. These programs feature the same high-quality curriculum taught by ASU's world-renowned faculty.

  • General University Admission Requirements: All students are required to meet general university admission requirements.
  • Additional Requirements: First-year admission requirements for this program are the same as the university's first-year admission requirements.
  • Transfer Admission Requirements: Transfer applicants must have a GPA of 3.00 for all transfer work and meet university transfer admission requirements.
