Accountancy and Data Analytics, MACC

Program Description

The Master of Accountancy program in accountancy and data analytics is delivered by the School of Accountancy, highly ranked by Public Accounting Report. This program is offered in-person or online, providing flexibility to students who are working professionals. A pathway program is available for students with a nonaccounting background to prepare for success in the master's degree program.

Accelerated Program Options

This program allows students to obtain both a bachelor's and a master's degree in as little as five years. Accelerated bachelor's plus master's degree programs are designed for high-achieving students who want the opportunity to share undergraduate coursework with graduate coursework to accelerate completion of their master's degree.


Degree Requirements

  • 30 credit hours including the required capstone course (ACC 512)

Admission Requirements

  • General university admission requirements:
    • All students are required to meet general university admission requirements.
  • Foundational knowledge of accounting principles:
    • Demonstrated by either a bachelor's degree in accountancy or proficiency achieved through an approved bridge or boot camp.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA:
    • 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A") in the last 60 hours of their first bachelor's degree program or a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (scale is 4.00 = "A") in an applicable master's degree program.
  • Application materials:
    • Graduate admission application and application fee
    • Official transcripts of all coursework completed at institutions other than ASU
    • One letter of recommendation
    • Current resume
    • Short answer question responses
    • Proof of English proficiency
