The course comprises individual modules covering various aspects of built asset management:

  • Strategic Interaction and Organizational Requirements: This module explores the interaction between organizational objectives and property requirements to establish a successful alignment strategy.
  • Each module requires active participation during four Mondays in Semester 2, 2024, from 9:15 AM to 6:15 PM. The specific dates are as follows:
  • Monday, 29 January 2024
  • Monday, 19 February 2024
  • Monday, 11 March 2024
  • Monday, 29 April 2024

Assessment:

This course utilizes a 100% coursework assessment approach, comprising three components:


Written Report (50%) on a Built Asset Management Topic:

Participants choose a topic from a provided list and prepare a 4,000-word report.


Written Report (40%) on Problem-Solving and Solutions to Practice Situations:

Based on either real-world scenarios or case studies, participants submit a report identifying a problem, suggesting solutions, and justifying their choices.


Presentation (10%) on Solutions Detailed from the Second Written Report:

Participants deliver a presentation detailing the solutions proposed in their second report and engaging in class discussion.

The teaching approach combines traditional classroom lectures and interactive seminars. Participants are encouraged to engage actively in discussions, share their experiences, and contribute diverse perspectives. Entry Requirements:


EU home students and international students outside the EU:

  • A degree in Construction, Architecture, or the Built Environment.
  • Applicants whose first language is not English must meet the minimum English entrance requirements of the University and need to provide recent evidence of this (certified within the last two years).
  • Most courses require a minimum English level of IELTS 6.0 or equivalent, with no band score under 5.5.
  • Trinity ISE: Pass at level III also meets this requirement.
  • International applicants will also require a short-term study visa.
