Program Overview

The Civil Engineering HLA program at Ulster University is a part-time degree that can be taken as a standalone or as part of a Higher Level Apprenticeship. The program covers structural design, highway and water/wastewater design, and aims to equip graduates for careers in consultancy or contracting within industry. Graduates will gain the knowledge and understanding of scientific, technical, and managerial aspects of civil engineering, and develop essential engineering skills, including problem-solving, decision making, originality, and self-motivation.
