Entry Requirements:
EU Home Students:
- A Level: BCC (preferred subjects: Geography, Economics, Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Environmental Technology/Science, Physical Education, Single Award Science, ICT, Nutrition and Food Science, Software Systems Development, Single Award Life & Health Sciences. Applied Science Double Award also acceptable.)
- Applied General Qualifications:
- RQF Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma/ OCR Cambridge Technical Level 3 Extended Diploma (2016 suite): Overall BTEC award profile DMM.
- Smaller BTEC/OCR qualifications (Diploma or Extended Certificate / Introductory Diploma / Subsidiary Diploma) in combination with A Levels or other acceptable level 3 qualifications.
- Consult the Qualification Checker for specific details.
- Irish Leaving Certificate: 104 UCAS Tariff points with five subjects (including English and Maths) at a minimum of H6 (Higher Level) or O4 (Ordinary Level).
- Scottish Highers: Grades BCCCC (English & Mathematics required at Standard Level 1, 2 or 3).
- Scottish Advanced Highers: Grades CDD (English & Mathematics required at Standard Level 1, 2 or 3).
- International Baccalaureate: Overall 24 points with 12 at higher level, including Grade 4 or above in Higher or Subsidiary level English Language and Mathematics.
- Access to Higher Education (HE): Pass Access course with overall mark of 60 including 60 in all level 3 modules. To include a 20 credit Level 2 Mathematics module, passed at 40% or successful completion of NICATS Mathematics.
- Access to HE Diploma (GB): 12 Distinctions, 30 Merits and 3 Passes.
- GCSE: Passes in English Language and Mathematics at Grade C (Grade 4) or above. Level 2 Essential/Key Skills in Application of Number is NOT regarded as an acceptable alternative to GCSE Maths.
International Overseas Students (outside the EU):
- Meet the general entrance requirements for admission to a first degree course.
- Equivalent qualifications to those listed above may be accepted.
