MS in Accounting Analytics

The MS in Accounting Analytics degree offers an enhanced focus on technology skills and business analytics software, while maintaining a strong foundation in accounting, auditing, and financial reporting. This STEM-designated program allows international students to apply for 36 months of Optional Practical Training.

Application Details

The program has rolling admission, with application deadlines as follows:


  • Summer 2025: May 5
  • Fall 2025: August 14 International students should apply by:
  • Fall semester: May 1

The application requires:


  • A completed or nearly-completed bachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent)
  • A completed online application form and $50 fee
  • Official transcripts from all current and previous colleges
  • Minimum 2.750 GPA
  • Official test scores from the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) or Graduate Records Exam (GRE) for applicants with a GPA below 3.000
  • Essay questions on the application form
  • Resume or job profile
  • Two letters of recommendation if applying for financial aid
  • Possible interview

Tuition and Financial Aid

The tuition rate is $1,400 per credit. Merit-based aid, graduate assistantships, and fellowships are available. U.S. citizens and permanent residents may be eligible to apply for need-based federal aid (loans) to help fund their educational expenses.


Learning Outcomes

The program defines and collects data on learning outcomes, which include:


  1. Apply critical thinking to accounting issues and solve applied/analytical business problems
  2. Demonstrate effective analytical communication skills
  3. Demonstrate competency in the preparation of accounting data for analysis
  4. Apply ethical reasoning to accounting/business/data issues
  5. Demonstrate competency in utilization of accounting analytic tools

Each goal has measurable learning outcomes that are assessed on a regular cycle for assurance of learning.
