Graduate Certificate in Data Science

The Graduate Certificate in Data Science is designed for students who are interested in becoming data-driven decision-makers. This program provides students with data skills, knowledge, and confidence that are highly transferable among a wide variety of industries.

Program Overview

By integrating the most business-relevant technologies used industry-wide—such as Python, Structured Query Language (SQL), machine learning, optimization, deep learning, forecasting, and more—students will be prepared to make valuable contributions to the data science efforts in any organization.

Program Structure

This certificate program is designed to be completed part-time in one or two semesters on campus, with prerequisite coursework in data analytics and/or data management and modeling. Students can continue to build on their analytics knowledge by stacking the Graduate Certificate in Data Science with the Graduate Certificate in Data Management. If students apply to the MS in Business Analytics (MSBA) degree program or another graduate business degree program, they may be able to apply the courses in this certificate program to reduce the time it will take to complete their master's degree.
