Master of Science in Accounting
The Master of Science in Accounting (MSA) program at Suffolk University is designed to prepare students for the CPA exam and a successful career in accounting. The program offers three unique tracks to suit different educational backgrounds and can be completed in as few as 9 months for full-time students or 21 months for part-time students.

The MSA program consists of 30 credits and is designed to fit the needs and professional goals of students. The program integrates Becker's CPA Exam Review Course, providing students with supplemental materials to help them prepare for the CPA exam. The program has received Level-1 status from the Massachusetts Board of Public Accountancy and has an international supplemental accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
Concentrations
The MSA program offers three concentrations:
- Business Analysis & Reporting: This concentration focuses on financial statement analysis and reporting, technical accounting, and financial and operations management.
- Information Systems & Controls (STEM): This concentration focuses on technology and business controls, including IT and data governance, internal control testing, and information system security.
- Tax Compliance & Planning: This concentration focuses on advanced individual and entity tax compliance, including personal financial planning and entity planning.

Admission Requirements
To be admitted to the MSA program, students must submit:
- A completed application
- A $50 application fee (waived for students who visit campus or attend an event virtually)
- Resume
- Unofficial transcripts of all post-secondary work
- Goal statement (essay)
- Reference/recommendation
- Official TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, or PTE-Academic scores (international students only)
