Program Overview

This part-time program equips students with the skills to lead outdoor activities in low-risk environments. Core courses cover leadership, performance, environmental stewardship, and specific activities like bush walking and mountain biking. Graduates are prepared for entry-level roles as instructors and guides in the tourism industry, earning the New Zealand Outdoor Instructors Association Bush Leader award.
