Program Overview

The Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Trade) Fitting and Machining from Ara Institute of Canterbury is a part-time program designed to equip students with the technical and problem-solving skills needed for mechanical engineering environments. Through a combination of core and elective courses, students learn about mechanical engineering principles, practices, and processes, as well as precision machining and welding techniques. The program is delivered through an apprenticeship managed by Ara and is currently free for domestic students until December 2022.
