Turning your passion into a career – a dream, especially for sports enthusiasts. Become a sports and event management champion! This Bachelor's programme is taught in German with selected modules in English. The course offers a unique opportunity to become a real expert: you will study at the UE in Berlin or Hamburg and gain an excellent academic education in the principles of management and business administration. At the same time, you will receive practical knowledge about one of our collaboration partners (event agencies and sport clubs such as ALBA Berlin, Flying Steps Entertainment and many more) giving you insights behind the scenes.

Spotlight-Module: "Sport & Event Marketing"
You know the sales markets in which sports organisations and event agencies operate and understand what a service is and what its characteristics are. Furthermore, you know the special features that need to be taken into account when marketing products in the sports and event sector and know which strategic options can be derived from this. You will be able to plan operational measures in sports and event marketing appropriately, including product, pricing, sales and communication policy and, if necessary, personnel policy. You will also be able to positively influence the revenue situation of the sports organisation or event agency through revenue management. After completing the module, you will be able to transfer and apply the findings and methods of marketing, in particular service marketing, to the sports and event sector. Finally, you will be familiar with the future challenges of sports and event marketing.
Your studies at a glance
The University of Europe for Applied Sciences has jointly developed an optimised schedule for you. The study and examination times are perfectly coordinated. From the 1st to the 4th semester you will learn the basics of business administration including marketing and other subjects (e.g. corporate management and controlling). At the same time, you will attend courses such as sports marketing, sponsorship and event production. Of course, you will also be entrusted with the organisation of several events, which allows for a good combination of theory and practice. Our lecturers use a practical approach that includes case studies, business games and study trips. Design your study programme individually from the 5th semester! You can choose courses from 7 different modules and thus tailor your study plan exactly to your plans for the future. These modules include courses such as human resource management in sports, ticketing & hospitality and planning of cultural and social events.

Founded in 1989, ALBA BERLIN has become one of the most successful sport clubs in Germany, as well as a key player in European basketball. ALBA BERLIN has won eight German league titles, nine German cups, and the Korac Cup. ALBA BERLIN has played in a European competition and German playoffs every year since the beginning. This is the result of more than 30 years of successful sport management and talent development, and you can be part of. Every ALBA BERLIN match is a big unforgettable event with around 11,000 passionate fans in the well-known Mercedes-Benz arena, making these the largest basketball event in Europe. ALBA BERLIN has also established the biggest basketball youth programme in Germany with more than 150 active trainers and employees serving 10,000 children and teenagers at least once a week, offering additional diverse career opportunities.
Your career in Sports & Event
As a Sports or Event Manager, you can expect a career with constant new challenges. Whether it is a sports event, a fashion show or an exhibition – creativity, good project management and business know-how are key factors for success. You might be working in the marketing & sales department of an international company developing campaigns or PR activities for big sports brands. You can also work for a sports club or event agency, organising large sports events, managing artist bookings or sponsorships. As Sports Manager, you will work with passionate professionals. The stadium’s VIP box might be your office.
