Building Services Worker

Program Description

The Building Services Worker program at the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in the cleaning industry. The program focuses on custodial/housekeeping operations, including theory and practical applications in cleaning procedures for all surfaces, chemicals, waste handling, WHMIS, and other safety matters.

  • Learn the latest on green products and procedures.
  • Learn to operate and maintain cleaning equipment like scrubbers and floor machines.
  • Review Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).
