The Associate of Arts degree at the University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) provides a broad, high-quality foundation in the Arts, designed to fuel curiosity and expand horizons.

Program Structure

• The degree can be completed in two years.
• Students can choose from a general option, international and development studies option, media and communication studies option, or theatre option.
• Practicum opportunities and optional paid co-op work placements are available throughout the studies.

Career Outlook

• The Conference Board of Canada reports that university graduates tend to benefit from better labour market prospects, reduced risk of unemployment, and higher earnings over the course of their working lives.

Post-Graduation Opportunities

• Graduates may choose to return to UFV or another institution to work towards earning a Bachelor's degree, in preparation for a career as a teacher, writer, police officer, anthropologist, communications specialist, actor, customs officer, psychologist, international aid worker, economist, lawyer, and more.
