Program Overview

The Automation and Robotics Technician diploma is designed to build on the knowledge gained in the Electronics Certificate at UFV or elsewhere. The program fully equips students to maintain, repair, calibrate, and support automation equipment and control systems used in a wide variety of industries.

Program Objectives

• Develop troubleshooting and repair skills
• Support engineers with technical assistance in designing and improving systems and equipment
• Learn hands-on techniques to isolate and resolve system malfunctions
• Practice problem-solving skills on real-world agricultural and manufacturing control systems and equipment

Accreditation

The program complies with national and international standards for accreditation with the Canadian Technology Accreditation Board, guaranteeing international recognition of academic qualifications under the Dublin Accord.

• Opportunities exist in virtually every sector, from agriculture to health care to manufacturing
