Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:


Domestic Students:

  • NCEA: University Entrance or equivalent
  • Subjects: At least 14 credits in approved subjects at Level 2 or above, including:
  • 3 credits in English (any standard)
  • 3 credits in a language other than English (any standard)
  • 2 credits in a social science subject (any standard)
  • 2 credits in a mathematics subject (any standard)
  • UE Literacy: Merit or Excellence in Reading, Writing, and Numeracy
  • UE Numeracy: Merit or Excellence in Calculus or Statistics

International Students:

  • Academic qualifications: Equivalent to New Zealand University Entrance
  • English language proficiency:
  • IELTS: Overall score of 6.5 with no band score lower than 6.0
  • TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 90 with a minimum of 20 in each section
  • Other equivalent tests may be accepted

Additional Notes:
