Program Overview
The DNP Advanced Practice is a 42 credit hour, five semester program designed for nurses wishing to obtain a Doctor of Nursing Practice with an Executive Leader focus. In addition to the clinical hours you will be bringing into the program, an additional 800 clinical hours are needed for the degree and focus on the development of a scholarly project. Students are required to come to campus in Greenville during their first residency course semester to meet with faculty and fellow students while gaining assistance with their project.
Career Outcomes
Your degree will prepare you to serve as a chief nursing executive, chief executive officer, clinical coordinator, or in other executive roles in hospitals, insurance companies, and accreditation and governing boards. Salaries for nurses in executive leadership range from $80,000 to $200,000.
