Program Overview

The Cybersecurity and Analytics major will teach you about cybersecurity, business, and data analytics, and prepare you to earn additional certifications. As a graduate, you'll be able to protect computer networks and systems from constantly evolving digital threats that face organizations. You'll study topics like network security, digital forensics, ethical hacking, scripting, cyber threat intelligence, risk management, cloud security, database systems, analytics programming, and data science processes. You'll also learn technology and tools that are in demand in the marketplace, including Kali Linux, Wireshark, the Nmap security scanner, and the Python computer language.


After completing this major, you'll be prepared to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of computer systems, analyze cyber problems, and use big data techniques.   • Additional Admission Requirements: Two essays (prompts) or official SAT, ACT, or CLT scores are required during the application process.
  • Application Deadline: Anderson University has a rolling admission process (students are notified when they are accepted whenever that is during the year) but students are encouraged to apply by the following dates: December 1st for the best scholarship consideration and no later than July 1st to begin in the fall semester.
