Business Administration (B.S.)/Computer Information Systems (B.S.)

Program Overview

This dual-degree program in Business Administration and Computer Information Systems equips students with advanced computing and analytical skills, as well as a solid foundation in business concepts. Graduates are prepared for a wide range of roles that manage technology in business, such as software product manager, supply chain manager, marketing strategist, and business systems analyst. The program is STEM-designated, making international graduates eligible for an extension of Optional Practical Training in the U.S.

• Overview: The MAT program at Montclair State University equips graduates with the knowledge, expertise, and professional skills to become outstanding teachers.
The program is continuously accredited by the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) since 1954.
• MAT with Subject Area Concentration (Preschool – Grade 12):
This program requires selecting a specific subject area for specialization, including Art, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, English, English as a Second Language, French, Health & Physical Education, Italian, Latin, Mathematics, Music, Physical Science, Physics, Social Studies, or Spanish.
• MAT Elementary School Teacher (Kindergarten – Grade 6): This program provides a broader overview of multiple subjects taught in elementary schools.
• Dual Certification: These programs prepare students in a subject area and in special education, leading to a Master of Arts, teacher certification in a subject area, and the Teacher of Students with Disabilities Certification.

• Combined Bachelor's/Master's Programs: These programs allow students to earn a Bachelor's degree and a Master's degree with Teacher Certification and Teacher of Students With Disabilities Certification in just five years.
