Program Overview

The Medicinal Chemistry (B.S. )/Chemistry (M.S.) program at Illinois Institute of Technology is a unique accelerated program that allows students to earn both a bachelor's degree in medicinal chemistry and a master's degree in chemistry in as few as five years. The program provides students with a strong foundation in medicinal chemistry, including the application of biological, chemical, and data science to computer-aided design, synthesis, evaluation, and analysis of structurally diverse drugs for the detection, treatment, and cure of human diseases. Graduates are prepared for careers in biomedical science, bioanalytical science, biotechnology, medicine, or pharmaceutical science.
