Program Description
In today’s data-driven environment, managers in high-performing organizations in every sector—business, government, and nonprofit—need to be able to analyze and interpret data and then use that information to implement policies, operations, and programs. The Master of Public Administration in Analytics program at Stuart School of Business delivers a rigorous, applied curriculum that is focused on developing students’ skills and expertise in analytics, public policy, and management, so they graduate with a solid foundation for career advancement.
Curriculum
The M.P.A. in Analytics degree requires a minimum of 30 credit hours (10 courses) of graduate work, including eight required core courses and two elective courses.
Admission Requirements

- Official transcript submission with a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade-point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- No GMAT or GRE scores required
- A one-page statement of purpose, with goals and objectives
- English proficiency exam, if required
- Work experience is a plus
- Undergraduate coursework in either statistics, analytics, or economics preferred

Graduate Credit for Work Experience
Students in Stuart School of Business graduate programs who have sufficient work experience may obtain credit by proficiency for courses (up to nine credit hours total) through satisfactory performance on Stuart credit by proficiency examinations.

Program Benefits
The M.P.A. in Analytics is a STEM-designated program, and international graduates of the program are eligible to apply for an extension for Optional Practical Training, which allows selected students to stay and work in the United States for up to three years after graduation.
